Mr. Smith has been licensed as an attorney since 1998 and in that time has practiced in a variety of fields. Currently, Mr. Smith focuses his practice on all aspects of local government law, including land use/zoning transactional or litigation. He has experience representing municipal corporations, previously acting as an assistant city attorney for the City of Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Smith's current clients include the City of Powder Springs, Georgia, the Cobb County Board of Tax Assessors and the Marietta Housing Authority. Mr. Smith provides his clients knowledgeable and timely general counsel advice and services on all aspects of local government, including the day to day operation of such entities. In addition, he offers his clients counsel and representation in the various litigation and transactional matters which may arise, including, but not limited to, constitutional issues, contract review for public works and services, drafting and review of ordinances and resolutions, and coordinating his clients' legal needs with other government entities. Mr. Smith also has experience in real estate transactions and insurance defense matters.

He is licensed in both Georgia and Tennessee. Mr. Smith graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee with a B.A. in biology in 1995.
