Ms. Callaway concentrates her practice in education law. She handles a variety of issues for school districts including policy decisions, contract agreements, litigation matters, public meeting law and public record requests, employment matters, particularly teacher disciplinary matters. Ms. Callaway attended the University of Georgia where she received her A.B. She went on to receive her M.S. and J.D. from Georgia State University. Ms. Callaway is in her 20th year of practice representing public entities. Formerly she worked as an Assistant County Attorney for Cobb County representing a variety of county departments and specializing in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act. Most of her career has been spent with the Georgia Attorney General's office where she served as a Senior Assistant Attorney General representing public agencies, primarily in education, transportation and public safety. She has litigated cases throughout the State of Georgia in all state courts and in the various Federal District Courts and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Callaway is a member of the State and Cobb County Bar Associations. She serves on the Board of the Northwest Georgia YWCA and is an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marietta where she has served on both the Diaconate and the Session. |
