| Charles L. (“Chuck”) Bachman, Jr., a member of Brock Clay’s Labor and Employment practice group, counsels companies in employment related matters, including issues involving the Family and Medical Leave Act, the National Labor Relations Act (including union avoidance), OSHA, the Fair Labor Standards Act, sexual harassment, and other federal and state employment laws. He also works with companies to implement employment policies and handbooks and to draft employee contracts, non-disclosure, and non-compete agreements. Mr. Bachman’s practice includes representing companies in labor and employment disputes. He has defended a wide variety of companies, including Fortune 500 businesses, in federal and state courts and in arbitrations across the country, including many cases involving multiple plaintiffs or claims involving collective or class action. He has tried cases in federal and state courts, including obtaining a complete defense verdict in a case brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Richmond, Virginia. He regularly represents companies against charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Department of Labor, and other similar federal and state agencies. He works on many matters for a variety of Employment Practices Liability Insurance carriers. Prior to joining Brock Clay, he was a partner with the international law firm of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where he worked in the firm’s Labor and Employment Department and served as chair of the Lawyer Development Committee for the Labor and Employment Department in the firm’s Atlanta office.
