Mr. Kline is a Special Education litigator with the firm. As a Special Education litigator, Mr. Kline has extensive experience regarding the Individuals with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Before joining the firm's Special Education practice section, Mr. Kline practiced education law in the firm's litigation group, defending the firm's school district clients regarding contract and tort liability in the state courts, as well as Section 1983 liability in United States District Court.

Mr. Kline graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a B.A. in Political Science. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School-Camden.


Exceptional Accomplishments

  • Acted as counsel for school district client in the Georgia Court of Appeals and assisted in pioneering changes to doctrine of official immunity which benefit school districts and their employees.
  • Acted as counsel for school district client before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and assisted in defining the scope of the First Amendment with respect to the limits of free speech in public meetings.   

Professional and Community Involvement

  • Mr. Kline resides in East Cobb and is an active participant in his neighborhood's community association.  Mr. Kline is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Cobb Bar Association.  He also is a member and active participant in United States Masters Swimming and competes throughout the Southeast in open water swimming events.
